Denise Woodring

Owner and Designer

Denise is an avid gardener and student of gardening for over 20 years.  She started Green Thumb Design LLC  in 2010 to put her love of gardening and talent to help other people have 'beautiful outdoors by design'.

Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas and a Masters in Business Administration, Friends University, Wichita, Kansas. Denise is a Graduate of the Virginia Master Gardener program, and has completed the American Rainwater Catchment System Association (ARCSA) Level 200 Training.

Her interest in gardening was sparked with the purchase of her first home.  The interest turned into a passion and her hobby blossomed into a business. She uses sustainable gardening practices and incorporate them in her designs and consultations.
